Our "Wedding Tour"
We were walking down the promenade in Cheltenham back in October just after Kevin moved here. We were talking about what each of us wanted in a wedding and realised that what we both would want most was to share the experience with as many friends and family as we possibly could withot extravogance or waste because we really want to save money to start a home together.
We both love our friends and family and to travel so much that we came up with a “wedding tour”!
We’ll definitely get to:
- Beaver Dam - where Kevin grew up in Wisconsin (USA),
- Mullsjö - where Suzanne grew up in Sweden,
- Los Angeles - where Suzanne will be competing in the next World Firefighter games,
- and a few places around England where we've lived.
We’ll see how many other places we can squeeze in.
So in chronological order, here’s our wedding tour:
- Suzanne's sister is visiting England and we may have a little pre-wedding party on Aug 2nd in Cheltenham.
- August 23rd in Los Angeles we’ll have a pre-wedding dinner. The games will be Aug 15th to 24th and Kevin’s birthday is Aug 25th. We’re also having a Kellogg reunion out in LA from Aug 22nd to 24th and we’re hoping to get over to the Grand Canyon and maybe San Francisco while we’re out there too.
- Sep 13th and 27th - We’ll get to London and Reading around here for dinners.
- Nov 1st will be our Beaver Dam wedding in the Catholic Church Kevin went to grade school in. We’ll also have a traditional “Fish Boil” dinner in lovely Door County on Oct 24th and may play a little volleyball at “Center Court”, the business Kevin helped build there, and get a Wisconsin favorite “Fish Fry” on the Friday night before the wedding (Oct 31st). We’ll also have another dinner in Chicago on Friday Nov 7th before we head back home to England.
- Dec 20th - The grand finale of our wedding tour will be our wedding in Sweden at a Church of Sweden (Lutheran Orthodox) church in Mullsjö or Sandhem near where Suzanne grew up. And we'll be celebrating Christmas in Sweden for Suzanne's first time in many years.
